1. Information we collect
When you send an enquiry through this site (the free homepage design form, the free website audit or the contact form) we collect what you type:
- Contact details: name, business name, email address, phone number (optional).
- Project details: what you need, pages and features requested, any estimate range shown, and anything you write in the message box.
- Technical context: the page you submitted from.
2. How we use your information
To reply to your enquiry, provide quotations, communicate about your project and follow up. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for their own use.
3. How enquiries are delivered and stored
Form submissions are delivered to us as email using Resend, an email delivery service, and arrive in our company mailbox (luke@owntimestudios.com). Data is encrypted in transit. If you email, call or WhatsApp us directly, that conversation lives in the respective service.
3a. The audit tool and concept pages
The free website audit stores the address you audit and, if you request the full report, your email address, so the report can be sent and followed up. The concept page builder stores what you enter in the wizard (business name, what you do, town, phone, email, opening hours and an optional social link) together with the generated page, so your private link keeps working. Concept pages are not listed in search engines, their addresses are unguessable, and each one is deleted 90 days after it is created. To have either removed sooner, email us and we will delete it.
4. Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages help people, behind Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics stores nothing on your device until you choose Accept on the cookie notice; choose Essential only and it stays off. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the notice back.
- Google Analytics 4: anonymised usage statistics, only after consent.
- Vercel Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookie-free traffic counts.
- Vercel Speed Insights: cookie-free performance monitoring.
- A single localStorage entry remembers your cookie choice.
5. Your rights under UK GDPR
- Right of access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: ask us to delete your data.
- Right to object: object to our processing of your data.
- Right to restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Right to portability: receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email luke@owntimestudios.com or call 01702 593119.
6. Retention
- Active enquiries: held until the conversation concludes.
- Completed projects: records retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
- Enquiries that do not become projects: deleted after 2 years.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes appear on this page with a new effective date. This version supersedes the policy dated 28 September 2025.
8. Applicant and candidate data
If you apply for a role with us, or book an interview through a link we send you, we collect only what you type into the form:
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Application answers: the area you would cover, what you have sold before, the days you are looking for, your answer to the free-text question, and anything else you choose to add.
- Interview preferences: how you would like to meet, a location or platform if relevant, the time you asked for, and anything you tell us would make the conversation easier for you.
We use it for one purpose: to consider your application, to arrange and hold the conversation, and to reply to you. It is delivered to us as email using Resend, in the same way as every other form on this site, and it lives in our company mailbox. It is never sold, shared or used for marketing, and it is not used to build any kind of profile.
Anything you tell us about adjustments is used only to make the conversation work for you. It plays no part in whether you get the role, and we do not keep it after the process ends.
We keep unsuccessful applications for 12 months, in case a similar role opens up, and then delete them. If you would rather we deleted yours straight away, say so and we will. Successful applications become part of the working relationship and are kept in line with section 6.
To ask what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email luke@owntimestudios.com or call 01702 593119. There is nothing to justify and no form to fill in. We will confirm once it is done.
