AI features that earn their keep

We add AI to websites and apps when it does a real job: answering questions from your own information, or letting customers try something before they book. Built in Southend-on-Sea and shipped for real clients.

Who it is for

This page is for business owners who keep answering the same questions by phone and email, and for anyone taking bookings who wants customers to feel sure before they commit. A chatbot that knows your services, prices and policies can handle the repetitive enquiries. Image generation inside a booking flow can show a customer what they are booking, the way Projects Salon clients try a hairstyle on before they book.

It is also for people who have been told they need AI everywhere and suspect they do not. We will tell you plainly which parts of your business an AI feature would genuinely help, and which are better served by a clear page of text or a phone call.

What is included

  • A chatbot built on a curated knowledge base

It answers from information you have approved: your services, prices, opening hours and policies. When the material does not cover something, it says so and points people to you instead.

  • Image generation inside a booking flow

The kind we shipped for Projects Salon, where clients try a hairstyle on before they book. If a preview would help your customers commit, we can build one into yours.

  • The knowledge base itself, written with you

We help you gather and structure the source material so answers stay accurate. You own it and can update it as your business changes.

  • Integration with your site or app

AI features sit inside something: a website, a booking and payments platform, or a native iOS or Android app. We build all of those, so the feature fits rather than bolts on.

  • Testing on the awkward questions

Before launch we push the feature with odd phrasings, missing details and questions it should refuse, so you see how it behaves at the edges.

  • Everything owned by you

As with all our work, you own the design, code, content and source files. No lock-in to us or to a platform you cannot leave.

  • A straight answer on whether AI is worth it

If a well-written FAQ page or a quick phone call would serve your customers better, we will say so before you spend anything.

Honest scope notes

We only propose AI features we have already shipped. Today that means two things: chatbots that answer from a curated knowledge base, and image generation inside a booking flow, as built for Projects Salon. If your idea sits outside that, we will scope it honestly rather than promise it casually.

AI is not always worth it. A business with five common questions needs a clear FAQ page, not a chatbot. Anywhere a wrong answer is costly, on price commitments, legal points or anything safety related, a person should answer, and we design the feature to hand over to you rather than bluff. No system of this kind is right every time, which is why the knowledge base is curated and the feature is tested before it goes live.

AI features also need looking after. Your prices change, your services change, and the knowledge base should change with them. Our care and maintenance plans cover that, or we hand everything over and show you how to update it yourself.

Fair questions

Will the chatbot make things up?
It is constrained to the knowledge base we build with you, and when it does not know something it says so and points people to you instead. We test it on awkward questions before launch. No system of this kind is perfect, which is why the source material stays curated and reviewable rather than left to roam.
Which AI provider or model do you use?
We pick whatever fits the job and the budget at the time, and we would rather not fill the page with names that date quickly. What matters is the part you own: the integration, the knowledge base and the code, all of which come with the work.
What does an AI feature cost?
It depends on what the feature does and where it lives. Websites start from £250, and AI work is quoted per job after a conversation. Call 01702 593119 or email luke@owntimestudios.com and we will give you a number, or tell you honestly that you do not need it.
Can you add AI to a website you did not build?
Usually, yes. We look at how your current site is built first and tell you plainly whether it is practical, or whether a rebuild would be cheaper than forcing a feature into a site that resists it.
Do I actually need AI?
Quite possibly not, and we will say so if that is the case. It earns its place when the same questions arrive over and over, or when customers hesitate to book because they cannot picture the result. If neither is true for you, spend the money elsewhere.
Who looks after it once it is live?
Either you or us. Everything is documented and handed over, so you can update the knowledge base yourself, or a care and maintenance plan keeps it accurate as your prices and services change.

Tell me what you need. I will tell you exactly what it costs.
